Still seems like yesterday when we got the call. We all miss that great man! I am not sure how Heaven works but if he.and Bro. David have met up they are having a good time waiting on the rest of is to get there :)
There are no words adequate - but what a legacy he left behind. . .
Tell Kellie there is one thing I imagine God does for her. . .He has for me since my sweet, wise, kind, and humble daddy died. There is rarely a day that goes by that something doesn't prompt a memory of something encouraging and very spiritually wise that my daddy said at some time. I treasure those memories. They are worth more than gold. They come so unexpectedly! I find myself sharing them often. I have a feeling Kellie has those same memories from her daddy that God sends to her all throughout her daily routine to help, teach and encourage - even though Daddy's not here. I'm so sad that Bro. Alvie didn't get to stay here longer - but I'm SURE God will bring back the wisdom of his life as ya'll need it. And you have the privilege of passing that on to your precious children. Some people might have a "life" for many years, and never have the "treasures" that you have. (And yes, I am so sorry you couldn't have both.) Love you.
O how I miss Bro Alvie... He was such a Good man.. I can still remember how he would scare use girls and make us jump up when he would start shouting.. And how he asked us what kind of style a braclet was and Ashlen replied "Thats a bracelet" He laughed so hard at that one.. What a role model he has been in my life...
