Happy Anniversary, Pawpaw & Mawmaw!

Today we had the extreme priviledge of helping Kellie's grandparents, Emmery & Joyce Brown, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary! Pawpaw and Mawmaw were married 50 years ago, on December 29, 1956, in Trenton, Georgia.
Today, family and friends showered the Brown's with gifts and well wishes at an Anniversary Tea held in their honor at the fellowship hall of the couple's home church, the Higdon Free Holiness Church, in Higdon, Alabama.
Look for all of the Brown's proofs to be made available soon!

Alec Riley

Meet my new honorary nephew - Alec Riley! Alec is the newest member of our Baby Steps program, and the son of some of our best friends, Ashley and Brooke Spurgeon.
Alec came into the world at a whopping 9 pounds and 7 ounces, and twenty-one inches long. I think a few days before he was born, I put in my guess that he'd be out 7 pounds. Boy was I way off! When Kellie and I went to see him at the hospital, it was more like looking at a six week old baby than a newborn!
Seen here with his favorite basketball team (whether he knows it or not), Alec struck several great poses today, which you'll be able to see coming up soon.

The House that Love Built

My first shoot of the year found me and Kellie in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where the family of Herbert and Helon Middlebrooks were gathered to celebrate Christmas.
For as long as I have known this family, I have loved them; and I can honestly say that there's not a family whom I love any more than the Middlebrooks'. Bro. Herbert and Sis. Helon have been married for 50 years. Together, they raised their five children and watched as the family grew to what is now a clan of more than thirty people. This truly is the house that love built.
They are an energetic, close-knit bunch; and if you don't break a smile when in their presence, you might want to get someone to check your pulse!
I hope you all had as much fun during Saturday's session as I did, and that you enjoy your proofs, which you may review by clicking on this picture!
