Hayden came back to see me yesterday afternoon so that we could add a couple more shots to her 3 month (4 month) session. She did such a great job and was more comfortable on her belly this time than she was last time. I was so glad to get these great shots to go along with the rest of her session! What a precious itty bitty baby!!! Nakomi came to see me for the first time today; and we had a great session! She's already three weeks old; but she is SO tiny - and beautiful!!! She's a special baby for me, because her mom and dad, Brian and Kristin, were my first wedding clients after I started photographing weddings professionally. I shot that wedding with my good old Hasselblad, which now has a prize spot on a shelf in my office! Man - I can't even remember for sure, what year that was right now? 2003, maybe? Anyhow, it was great to be a part of another momentous occassion in Brian and Kristin's lives! Here are a couple of previews from today's session (click to enlarge)!
We had a great session last Saturday with Parker! It would be hard to say which shot is my favorite! Parker is the one year old son of my first cousin, Michelle, and her husband, Wade. It was my first time to use my new gray backdrop; and I loved it! Parker did a great job too; and Michelle brought some great outfits for him! Folks - clothing choices are going to make the difference in your portraits! It's always best to discuss this with me prior to your session; and it's always great to bring some extra outfits so that we can choose with will look best for the session! Anyhow, here's a few previews for Parker!
Ya'll want to see what keeps my business running? This lovely woman right here! For anyone who doesn't know, this is my wife, Kellie. Aint' she gorgeous, folks??!! If it wasn't for her support and encouragement, there's no way I could accomplish half of what I get done. Aside from being a full time mother and housewife, she's also my shipping/receiving department, my errand runner, my secretary, my photography assistant, my critic, and everything else you can think of! Now if I can just train her to take the pictures, I'll be all set! Anyhow, just wanted to show her off a little bit and let her know how much I appreciate all she does! Love you baby!
It seems like I am months behind! I've just finished proofing a wedding and a 3 month old session for Hayden; and now I've got two more 3 month sessions to finish - Jacob and Gracie. Hayden and Jacob's sessions were last Saturday and held here in the studio. Gracie's session was yesterday; and I traveled to her home in New Market, Alabama, to do those. All three of these babies joined Baby Steps around the same time, so it's fun to watch them grow together (yet at much different rates!). So here's a few previews for you Mommas and Daddies! -BYRD
